Had a lovely day here today. It was quite warm and we’d forgotten to take a water bottle. One really kind worker there got us a cold bottle of water and warned us to keep hydrated. Such great service. Shout out to Justin for the water Just-in Time.
This really broke up my Melbourne holiday - allowed me to see so much more of the beautiful state than if I just stuck to the city. Hotsprings the major highlight obviously, was just the right amount of time spent there! Good timing too, was there before it got too hot with the sun AND before too many people turned up, bet the crowd. I mainly booked the tour for the hotsprings, however afterwards I was blown away with how much else we got to do and see. Was really worth it! Terry was a great guide.
Totally recommend this day trip to mornington Peninsula Hot Springs. Enjoyed all the different pools, sauna, ice cave and turkish baths. Our tour guide was friendly and down to earth. The whole day was amazing..Hot Springs, winery, strawberry picking, gondola at Arthurs seat and to finish off, Dromana beach. The only down side was the lunch at the winery, didn't enjoy the vegetable frittata but that didn't impact on the day, still enjoyed it. thank you Bunyip tours, would definitely book again.
Today was our second day experiencing go west (bunyip tours) and it was spectacular. From the morning tea to the afternoon beach walk everything was perfect. Instead of the spa section of this tour , my family and I visited an area were we had a nice easy stroll as we looked over at the glistening sea and incredible houses. The strawberry fields were so nice and we had a blast picking sweet strawberries and a little snack of creamy ice cream. The best part of this tour was our amazing tour guide Mel. She was enthusiastic and hilarious throughout the whole trip and was bonding with everyone even if they didn’t speak English. She tried her best to keep everybody satisfied and we enjoyed her endless jokes and compassion for this job. Thank you so much Mel, you are one of the best we have had so far in Melbourne. (A little downside however was the lunch as it was quite small and we only had two options, however it was all paid for by go west company)
Starting off from the Rendezvous Hotel in the city we travelled to Fingal on the Mornington Peninsula and spent 3 hrs at Peninsula Hot Springs. This is a great place and highly recommend anyone thinking of going there. Our driver Graham then took us to Green Olive at Red Hill. We felt the lunch could have been better. No olive oil for the bread or salad at an Olive producer? We tried their wines but felt they were highly priced. It was then time to visit Sunny Ridge strawberry farm. Some people enjoyed picking the strawberries. We enjoyed the beautiful icecream and bought raspberries. We then went on to The Eagle at Arthur's Seat. Well run but unfortunately a lot of smoke haze today. It was then on to Dromana Beach for those who wanted a swim. Graham our driver couldn't have been more obliging and informative. Rather than going right back into the city he dropped us in our suburb which was much appreciated. A full and happy day.
My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our trip today. Everything ran so smoothly and promptly. We were greeted warmly and cheerily by our tour guide, Emily, who was consistently friendly, informative and helpful throughout the whole day. We loved our early morning trip to the Hot Springs and were delighted we got to spend a few hours there. Lunch was good and the wine tasting was okay. In context, for us, it wasn't a big deal, but the guy serving us was very informative and friendly. The stop-off for strawberry picking, ice cream and more wine/cider tasting was great, as was the gondola ride on the Eagle. What a stunning view! Loved it. All in all, the trip was great value for money. Thank you, Emily, for going the extra mile, literally, by doing a detour to drop us off at a station much nearer to where we're staying, rather than return to Flinders Street. By doing so, we arrived home over an hour earlier than expected. What great service. On today's experience, I highly recommend Bunyip Tours.
