From the moment we were picked up to board the seaplane, we felt like we were royalty. The staff could not be more attentive and helpful in keeping our destination a secret for my daughter who was having a surprise birthday lunch. The food was beyond any expectations and blew us out of the water. The little extras were really appreciated. The salmon cornettos were to die for and I’m glad my family didn’t like salmon so I could have theirs. The fresh bread rolls with fabulous salted butter were very moreish. All the meal was perfectly cooked. We particularly love the service in this place. Everyone could tell us the exact ingredients in each dish, particularly helpful as I can be anaphylactic if eating the wrong things. Even the wine list and cocktail list were described to us in great detail. Just a huge superb dining experience and sea flight. A huge thank you for making our daughter‘s birthday so special.

Would recommend this trip. The seaplane ride was beautiful. They warned us it would be bumpy because of the wind but it wasn’t too bad and their reassurance helped. The food and service at the restaurant were excellent. It definitely would have been a rating of 5 except we couldn’t fly back because of the weather- no ones fault and a limo ride back to Sydney was organised for us just disappointing. At least we were able to do the plane one way.

We had an incredible lunch and flight! The team at Sydney seaplanes are professional and friendly, and the trip was fantastic. It’s certainly not a quiet entrance to the restaurant! Service and food over lunch was also lovely, making for a great overall experience. It was a real treat for us - topped off by the fantastic scenic flight home. - Adam R, Sydney

We booked this trip because I really wanted to fly in a Beaver however they used a single engine Otter which was disappointing. All of the pictures lead you to believe it will be a Beaver. Because they used an Otter, it could not get into the dock at Cottage point so you have to get into a small motorboat to get to the dock, which is not easy. The lunch was very good however watch out because they talk you into a nice drink to start but it was very expensive $26.00 each. The wine was also not cheap. I was impressed with the pilot because thunderstorms were forecast for the afternoon so we did our scenic flight on the way out because it would have been impossible on the return trip due to rain showers. We actually waited in the plane for the worst of the weather to pass. Making our way out to Rose Bay by ferry from Circle Quay was easy and so was the return. This trip cost us less than half of what the ship wanted to charge.

Greeted at the Sydney seaplane terminal with smiles and made very comfortable pre-flight. All of the staff were great and seemed genuinely happy to assist and answer questions. The flight was incredible, the pilot was brilliant, no faults! Then to top it all off the lunch at Cottage Point was superb. I would highly recommend to anyone thinking about going on this trip.
