The main exhibition gallery was named in honour of the designer and, arguably, father of Australian sculpture, Clement Meadmore. Known worldwide for his monumental steel and aluminium sculptures, Meadmore moved to New York where he worked until he died in 2005. The Clement Meadmore Foundation has approved the naming of the gallery.
The Clement Meadmore Foundation has also donated a Meadmore sculpture design for fabrication and installation at the Australian Academy of Design. A benefactor is being sought for the funding of the sculpture. The Academy is a Designated Gift Recipient recognised by the Australian Tax Office so that gifts and donations are fully tax deductable
