Take a journey over 140 years from the Polly Woodside’s construction in Belfast in 1885 to her restoration by the National Trust in Melbourne during the 1970s in the new Polly Woodside.
In the new Gallery set in the original Dockside sheds you can explore the history of the ship. The six exhibition zones feature maritime displays about life at sea, the crew, navigation, maritime language and Melbourne’s dock.
How to get to POLLY WOODSIDE
ram: Routes 96, 109 or 112 travel down Spencer/ Clarendon Streets to
Stop 124A (Casino) and entrance of the Melbourne Exhibition Centre.
Route 70 and the City Circle Tram stop at D5 Wurundjeri Way (South Wharf).
Cross the street and walk towards the Yarra River, down Siddeley Street and across the new Seafarers pedestrian bridge.
Train: To Southern Cross Station and then catch tram 96,
109 or 112 to Stop 124A (Casino).
